I am Shashi B Jain, a Film Director, a Writer &  a LifeCoach.

This is my story.

Everything about me, including my beliefs, preferences, viewpoints, words, and language, is continuously changing.

I believe, reinventing oneself is the key. 

It is about those choices I made, and detours I took, whenever life presented me with those turning points. 

One of those turning points came when I was strolling through narrow lanes of a market in Delhi and, I heard a song being played in a music store.

And despite not having any professional musical training, a dream emerged! I was at the moment enamoured by the music and wanted to be a music director.

Those songs led me to movies, which subsequently introduced me to the fascinating world of cinema. And I fell in love with the medium instantly.

A definite decision was made.

I was bitten by the film bug and soon, Delhi's thriving theatre scene and various film societies quickly replaced the Medical Entrance exams I was studying for.

My chosen path eventually led me to Mumbai, where I had the opportunity to work with MAD Films. And, there began the most exciting journey and I got to work on one of the biggest campaigns of those times. While managing the entire Post-Production and VFX process there, I got to learn the nuances of filmmaking from the panel of national and international directors.

A new turn was approaching now, I had to make a choice.

I decided to move on & joined Pradeep Sarkar to work with him on various projects which involved TV Commercials & features. After understanding the entire Post-Production earlier, now, I got to learn the art of managing the set, working with the biggest stars, and understanding the importance of detailing in filmmaking.

The dream I saw while being a student was coming true!

A new journey was about to begin, the fantasy was soon to become a reality.

The choices I made, had helped me develop and learn. And, I started directing independently.

And now, the journey goes on with me working on campaigns for brands from across the globe. Each one gives me an experience, enriching me and making me ready to face the next turning, for the next choice I make.
